Our mission is Liberty

The Advocates for Self-Government fights to help build a movement for individual freedom and responsibility, free markets, and peace.

While most Liberty Movement organizations are think tanks that focus on policy and legislation, the Advocates seeks to increase the number and effectiveness of libertarian activists. Other groups work to develop libertarian responses to current events. The Advocates programs ensure those groups are successful at delivering their messages and the general public is open and receptive to those ideas.

We accomplish our mission by:

• Changing the dominant "Left-Right" political model - which excludes libertarians - to a more accurate and inclusive map like the one used by the World's Smallest Political Quiz, thus literally putting libertarians on the map.
• Training libertarian activists in proven, effective communications techniques.
• Identifying and activating potential libertarian activists.
• Educating new and prospective libertarians on the philosophy of freedom.

The Advocates drives change by training and mobilizing libertarian activists to engage their fellow citizens and influencing the debate toward freedom, opportunity, and respect.
