Job Description:

Interns work directly with the Advocates professional staff and play an important role in day-to-day operations. This experience is more than schlepping coffee. In addition to the practical working experience, interns will learn high-level marketing techniques and libertarian theory in workshops and discussion.

Unlike some other political internships, the Advocates pays you to gain communications experience and build marketable skills, in our north Georgia office.

We’re looking for independent, creative, energetic libertarian students who believe that liberty is the best way to achieve peace and prosperity – and that the best way to get liberty is by effectively communicating the ideas of free markets, limited government, civil liberties, and individual responsibility to the public.

The ideal candidate is passionate for liberty and has a drive to improve the entire Liberty Movement. Applicants should demonstrate strong writing, design, marketing, or other communication talents. Strong organization, focus, judgment, curiosity, and a sense of humor are also important. Technical knowledge about website design and maintenance, computer networking, and social networking a PLUS.

The Advocates reviews applications for summer and school-year internships on a regular basis. Internships are open to undergraduates, graduate students, or recent graduates with a serious commitment to free markets, individual liberty, and limited government (regardless of major).
