Doug Stephan may be America's most popular morning radio talk show host with libertarian sensibilities.

There's no question that's he's popular. His show, Doug Stephan's Good Day USA, is broadcast on 425 stations around the nation. According to the Radio America network, "more radio stations carry Doug Stephan's Good Day USA than any other syndicated morning show."

Good Day USA, which is built around Stephan's "warm, friendly, and intelligent style," features current events, politics, business reports, entertainment news, and celebrity guests.

There's also no question that Stephan is sympathetic to libertarian ideas. In 1996 and 2000, he announced to his listeners that he voted for Libertarian Party presidential candidate Harry Browne.

During an October 19, 2000 interview, Stephan told Browne, speaking about Libertarians in general, "What you stand for is where most Americans are."

Browne later said about Stephan: "He has been very good to Libertarians... He says I present many valuable ideas that people should hear."

On weekends, Stephan hosts the Talk Radio Count Down Show, which discusses the week's top 10 news stories, as determined by the callers to talk radio programs across the country.

Stephan has more than 30 years of experience in the broadcasting industry, and has spent more than 20 years behind the microphone as a talk show host. He is a member of the executive board of the National Association of Talk Show Hosts and of the Wall Street Journal Network Advisory Board.

In 2002, Stephan was named by Talkers Magazine as one of the "Top 100 Most Important Talk Show Hosts in America."
