Environmental Management M.B.A. program at the University of Washington.
Dr. Baden and his wife, Professor Ramona Marotz-Baden, both avid
bicyclists, own and operate a ranch in the Gallatin Valley of Montana
and an orchard in the Yakima Valley of Washington. FREE
advances conservation and environmental values by applying modern
science and America's founding ideals to policy debates. They are
intellectual entrepreneurs, explaining how economic incentives, secure
property rights, and responsible prosperity can foster a healthy
environment. While their seminars are explicitly pro-environment, they
explain why ecological values are not the only important ones. They
stress that trade-offs among competing values are inescapable. They show
why it is ethically and materially irresponsible to pretend such choices
can be avoided. |
