Asked about the drug issue by the Colorado Springs Gazette, July 27, Moby replied:

"I'm sort of a libertarian. People should be able to do what they want. I ultimately defer the wisdom to an adult to make their own choices. If someone wants to do drugs, I think it's their own business and not the business of the state."
