Writer and artist Ted Slampyak received high marks from comic fans as artist for the widely-praised comic book "Mr. Hero," published by Tekno-Comix 1994-1996. "Mr. Hero" was based on a concept by Neal Gaimen, one of today's most respected comic book writers.

Slampyak's art can also be seen in "The Big Book of Hoaxes" and "The Big Book of Thugs," two popular graphic novels published by DC Comics/Paradox Books in 1996.

Slampyak was creator, artist, and writer of the critically-acclaimed "Jazz Age Chronicles," a comic book published between 1989 and December 1990 by Caliber Press.

In 1995 Slampyak also created several issues of a "mini-comic" starring a libertarian heroine, "Suzi Romaine."

He is currently writing and drawing a weekly comic strip available free on the Web -- the strip is called "Jazz Age," which is an adventure story that takes place in the 1920s. Check it out!

Slampyak has also done illustrations for the Advocates for Self-Government magazine "The Liberator," including two covers and some great cartoons about libertarian communication.

Slampyak is a versatile artist, capable of doing humorous gag cartoons, realistic renderings, and explosive superhero panels. To see some of his work, please visit his Web site.
