Facebook is reaching a saturation point. They need a new market of users to continue growth. Yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO, announced that they will invest in new infrastructure in emerging markets to bring internet to 5 Million people around the world. (http://cnnmon.ie/1dsZkKj) This newfound tool for information sharing will build new ways to make money, and hopefully topple tyranny. It can bring peace, abundance and harmony in places that desperately need it.

Yes, Facebook will profit by building infrastructure and providing this internet service. But the service will also profit the user. Can we say that the same benefits are always derived from government-funded infrastructure?
