All Wet
When Vice President Al Gore visited Denver in February to deliver a speech
along the South Platte River, local officials released an addition *96
million gallons* to increase the river's flow. "When you have the river
being showcased, you want to look good," explained one official. The release
was a *year's worth of water* for nearly 300 families, and was worth
$59,000, according to reports.
The ultimate irony: the Vice President's speech was about... river
conservation.
