Wards of the State

Once you drop your kids off at the local government school, they're no longer your kids.

That's what a federal judge says. According to the American Family Association Journal, a Texas child was questioned at school by the state Children's Protective Services (CPS), without the parents' knowledge or consent. The child was also forced to strip to allow a female CPS agent to check for signs of alleged spankings. The outraged parents filed suit against the school district. However, federal district judge Melinda Harmon ruled in favor of the school district, declaring that "parents give up their rights when they drop the children off at public school."
