Outspoken conservative columnist Charley Reese recently shared some examples
of absurdly wasteful pork barrel spending, as compiled by Citizens Against
Government Waste. Here's just a few examples of your tax dollars at work:
$1.9 million to supervise the Teamsters election.
$3 million for a New Orleans jazz museum.
$1 million for the "Center for Irish Management." (???)
$25 million for aid to that bastion of liberty, North Korea.
$800,000 for the Suffolk County, NY police athletic league.
....... and the examples just go on and on and on. A million bucks may be
small in comparison to the federal budget, but it's a lot of money, and the
endless examples of such idiotic waste quickly add up to big money even by
federal standards.
