Three States Claim They Own Your Skin

Did you know that tattooing is illegal in some U.S. states?

Currently three states -- Massachusetts, North Carolina and Oklahoma -- consider professional tattooing a crime. In Massachusetts, tattooing someone can get you a year in the slammer or a $300 fine.

The situation may change in Massachusetts, at least. Two men -- one a professional tattooist, the other a citizen who wants to get tattooed -- are suing to get the law thrown out.

Incidentally, body piercing is perfectly legal in most of Massachusetts.
