Quizzes
for the Classroom
Teachers
and professors: Want to make your next Political Science or American Government
class more lively, interesting, and interactive?
If
so, hand out copies of the World's Smallest Political Quiz to your students.
The Quiz is guaranteed to spark discussion and debate about students'
political beliefs, America's political parties and what they stand for,
and the validity of the traditional Left-Right political spectrum.
The Quiz has already been used in more than 200 colleges and high schools
around the USA.
Instructors
have incorporated the Quiz into classrooms at Harvard University's John
F. Kennedy School of Government, the University of Oregon (Eugene), Carnegie
Mellon University (Pennsylvania), the Newton Country Day School of the
Sacred Heart (Massachusetts), Texas A&M University (Corpus Christi),
James Madison University (Virginia), Blackhawk Technical College (Wisconsin),
Walter Johnson High School (Maryland), and Bellarmine College of Liberal
Arts (California) -- to name just a few. It's even been used at The American
School in Tokyo, Japan and the University of Granada in Spain.
Instructors use the Quiz in a wide variety of courses -- including Political
Science, Current World Affairs, American Government & Politics, Contemporary
Society, Politics and Political Behavior, and more.
The Quiz has been published in the textbook The Politics of Diversity
(West/Wadsworth Publishing), and Houghton-Mifflin provides a link
to the Quiz as part of its "American Government Documents Collection"
online supplement to its textbooks. The Quiz is included in a list of
recommended "Civics Links" from the Middle School National Social
Studies Standards project (sponsored by the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill), and is recommended by the Alberta Teachers' Association
Social Studies Council in Canada.
If you are a college professor or high school teacher, we'd be happy to
