Murder, not suicide, is the likely explanation for Jeffrey Epstein’s death, according to renowned pathologist Dr. Michael Baden. Three “extremely unusual” fractures now also serve as a reminder that conspiracy theories too often deserve serious attention.
It’s been nearly three months since Epstein died in the high-security Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, as two prison guards allegedly slept and multiple security cameras allegedly malfunctioned. The corporate elite media largely let the story fade away within a week, but a new update has emerged following an uptick in “Epstein didn’t kill himself” memes being shared across social media.
Despite not being there for the autopsy, New York City’s chief medical examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson made the decision to rule the death as a suicide, according to Dr. Baden. Baden, however, did sit in on the Epstein autopsy, which was carried out by a lower medical examiner, who never signed off on the suicide ruling.
Instead, the autopsy, which occurred on August 11, the day after Epstein died, concluded that the cause of death would only be determined “Pending Further Study.” If there was any further investigation, it’s not been revealed by any authorities, federal or local.
“It required a lot more investigation before one can call it a suicide,” Baden told Law and Crime, “and there has to be additional information like a video of him hanging himself but we don’t know what the FBI did and, of course, whose DNA is on the ligature. The medical examiner was very good before starting the autopsy in my presence. Swabbed the clothes that were on him so they could look for various DNA. But we don’t know what happened to the critical ligature that was left on the scene when it was cut off the body.”
That last part is critical, that the ligature was removed from Epstein’s body hours after he died but before the body was taken to a hospital. There were no photos taken of the body at the scene or when it was moved, Baden said. Naturally, this went against protocol.
Three fractures were found in Epstein’s neck, the autopsy report showed. Baden, who has over 50 years of experience, including on the cases of President John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector, and Aaron Hernandez, said that “To have one fracture is unusual, to have two is rare.”
“I’ve never seen three fractures in a suicidal hanging,” he added.
Libertarians are often mocked for entertaining conspiracy theories, but especially after a development like this, such a charge should be welcomed as a badge of honor.

Epstein was arguably the most well-connected billionaire on the planet, with connections to President Donald Trump, President Bill Clinton, foreign heads of state, royalty, top Israeli intelligence officials and more.
Epstein supplied at least some of these prominent figures with underage girls to be sexually abused and pleaded guilty in 2008 to sexually abusing a 14-year-old, although federal officials had identified 35 other girls as well.
The plea deal, orchestrated by Epstein’s lawyers and Alexander Acosta, a U.S. Attorney who would go on to head the U.S. Department of Labor under Trump, was a joke. His 13-month jail sentence allowed him to leave for “work” daily, and he wasn’t punished for refusing to check in with parole officers.
Epstein’s July 2019 arrest on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors garnered so much attention that it was impossible for him to get off as easily this time. Acosta was forced to resign from the Trump administration over his involvement with the 2008 plea.
Acosta told Trump’s transition team that an Epstein attorney told him to back off the case, the Daily Beast reported.
“I was told Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone,” Acosta said.
Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano says the Epstein case can be reopened. If any of the presidential candidates care about uniting the country, they should demand that happen, because, since Epstein’s death, there’s been a bipartisan consensus that the case requires more than what the government has done so far.
This comes less than a week since the FBI released documents covering the case of the Finders, a Washington, DC-based cult that is suspected of being a CIA front group that facilitated the kidnapping and sexual abuse of children. Conspiracy theorists have a lot to work with.
