Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your Advocates for Self-Government account from your account settings, whether you registered with an email and password or used Facebook or Google to sign in.

Delete Your Account

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Open Account Settings.
3. In the Account tab, find the Danger Zone and select Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

This permanently deletes your Advocates account profile and the Facebook or Google login records linked to that account. Some records may be retained when necessary for legal, financial, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. For example, completed donation records and de-identified or anonymous quiz records may remain after the direct link to your account is removed.

If You Cannot Sign In

Email info@theadvocates.org with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” Send the request from the email address associated with your account when possible. We may need to verify that you control the account before processing the request. Never send us your password or your Facebook or Google login credentials.

Facebook and Google Connections

Removing The Advocates from your Facebook or Google connected-app settings stops future access through that provider, but it does not by itself delete your Advocates account. Use the steps above or email us to request deletion.
