Patri Friedman is an activist, entrepreneur, and theorist best known for founding the Seasteading Institute, which explores the creation of politically autonomous communities on the ocean. A former Google engineer and grandson of economist Milton Friedman, he aims to apply startup dynamics to governance. He believes that political innovation, much like technological progress, depends on competition and choice. His work reflects a deep commitment to libertarian ideals, especially the principles of individual consent and decentralized power.
